Independent experimental publication
This is not an official DWP document. It is an independent demonstration of organising public guidance as an Open Knowledge Format (OKF) bundle with an additional YAML-LD semantic layer. DWP has not approved, endorsed or verified this project. No GOV.UK or DWP branding is used to imply endorsement.
Source attribution and rights
Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Source documents and their extracted text are Crown copyright material from the Department for Work and Pensions: the original Pension Credit publication, the full Decision makers’ guide collection and the separate Advice for decision making publication. Retain this attribution when reusing the extracts. Third-party material, logos, crests and other exclusions retain their own rights. The project does not claim rights in them. The project's MIT licence applies only to its own code and original material. Vendored Explorer profile material retains its upstream licence and identity; the preserved upstream notices distinguish MIT code from CC BY-NC 4.0 documentation.
External reference rights
The CPAG Welfare Benefits Handbook reference contains original catalogue commentary and publisher links only. No CPAG handbook text is reproduced. CPAG material retains its own rights and is not licensed under the project's MIT licence or the Open Government Licence. Neither CPAG nor DWP has endorsed this independent reference. Its access and reuse restrictions remain visible in the bundle.
How to use the exemplar
- Follow the original PDF link and page locator before relying on an extract.
- Check the current publication, applicable legislation, amendments, memos and effective dates. A retrieval date does not establish legal currency.
- Treat extracted text as a machine transcription: reading order, tables, footnotes and cross-page passages may contain errors.
- Treat project-authored concepts, questions and relationships as aids to discovery. They are not official interpretations or decisions.
- Keep historical amendments separate from the current publication's main chapter files. Even a file currently linked by GOV.UK can contain historical or transitional provisions.
This is not legal, financial or benefits advice and does not determine eligibility, entitlement or an award. It contains no claimant case data and asks for no personal information. The intended use is professional discussion, source discovery and evaluation of evidence retrieval.
Snapshot boundary
The original Pension Credit and full-DMG inventories record their observations on 15 September 2026. The pilot landing page then reported its last update as 20 July 2026; this is not a publication date for every captured document. The separate ADM inventory records acquisition on 19 September, from a publication page reporting an update on 27 August 2026. Each inventory preserves the exact acquired scope. No claim is made that case law, legislation or sources outside those inventories have been exhaustively acquired, consolidated or checked for commencement.
