The ADM manual is now acquired
Advice for decision making (ADM) is a DWP staff guide distinct from the Decision makers’ guide (DMG). Both can be relevant to a benefits question, but the applicable benefit variant, date and circumstances must be established. The official ADM publication describes its scope; DWP explains the guide distinction.
The project has acquired all 182 PDFs and 4,347 measured pages listed in the ADM publication observed on 19 September 2026. The earlier 15 September discovery contained metadata only; this acquisition adds original PDFs, page text, hashes, exact page links and extraction-quality flags. See the source snapshot and verification instructions.
The separately preserved DMG snapshot contains 331 PDFs and 14,743 measured pages. Together the two source families comprise 513 PDF records and 19,090 measured pages. These are acquisition counts, including listed supplementary, spare and historical material; they are not counts of reviewed rules or answered questions.
The ADM capture has 91 pages with no machine-extracted text. Those pages remain in the inventory and retain their original PDF links. No OCR or exhaustive visual review has established whether they are blank or image-only.
Source acquisition, full-corpus discovery, governed evidence assembly and an AI's answer are separate stages. The preserved 52-record custody profile and its earlier acceptance receipts remain version-specific. Adding this manual does not retrospectively make that profile cover ADM or answer its unsupported tasks. The learning path explains how to inspect scope, authority, provenance and gaps before using a result.
This is an independent experimental publication, not an official DWP product or individual benefits advice. Machine extraction and authored classifications remain unreviewed; specialist acceptance has not been established.
