# England and Wales death registration route

GOV.UK routes the user to the applicable registration service. The selected
correction guidance explains that an England or Wales entry is corrected by a
note to the register through the responsible register office; it is not a way
to change correctly recorded information.

current routed service and any coroner instructions control a real death. No
England or Wales timing is inferred from Scottish or Northern Ireland pages.
